Become a key player at Okanagan College as a Chemistry/Biology Technician V. This full-time role focuses on maintaining lab equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

In this position, you'll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and optimally using lab equipment while providing necessary support during student labs. You'll also maintain documentation for regulatory compliance and ensure the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials. A two-year technologist program and a valid Occupational First Aid - Level 2 certificate are required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Organize lab setups and clean-up after sessions
• Maintain and optimize science lab equipment
• Ensure adequate materials for lab activities




• Conduct lab safety inspections and compliance checks
• Procure laboratory supplies and manage inventory records

Requirements:
• Completed a related two-year technologist program
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Valid Occupational First Aid - Level 2 certificate
• Class five driver's license required
• Ability to lift lab equipment (up to 30 pounds)
