This on-site role requires you to lead the operations crew while adhering to health and safety standards. Ideal candidates have strong leadership skills and a passion for mentoring. You’ll work 4x4 shifts, providing a perfect balance between qualified growth and enjoying the natural wonders of the Elk Valley.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement health and safety protocols
• Mentor staff to enhance work performance
• Manage drilling, blasting, and truck functions
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with engineers and maintenance personnel
Requirements:
• Open Pit Shift Boss certificate required
• Three years of operational leadership experience
• Understanding of BC's mining health codes
• Experience with Wenco Dispatch is an asset
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
