- Load and unload merchandise using designated equipment
- Receive special orders and stock replacement
- Identify and read vendor packing slips, carrier shipping documents, UPC labels and other documents, comparing them to purchase orders
- Count carton freight and merchandise to satisfy freight bills
- Follow procedures to ship and receive transferred merchandise
- Research shipment and paperwork discrepancies and resolve scheduling or delivery issues and conflicts
- Maintain lift equipment
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Move freight from receiving to designated staging areas and communicate with the Shipping Team
- Clean and maintain shipping and receiving areas
- Provide additional help in Packaging, Slab Door and Moulding departments when required
- Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings and possible early evenings
- Previous experience operating a forklift is preferred
- Previous experience loading curtain side trailers
- Strong attention to detail
- A “can do” attitude and commitment to safety
- Physically fit and willing to assist with manual lifting when needed
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills




- Required to be licensed to use powered forklift
- Ability to learn and follow procedures
- Ability to read vendor packing slips, carrier shipping documents, UPC labels and other documents
- Ability to work as part of a team
