As a Surgical Processor, you will oversee the decontamination, reassembly, and sterilization of hospital equipment and surgical instruments. Utilizing aseptic techniques and Universal Precautions, your role directly contributes to the prevention of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI). Monitor and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly while performing necessary quality assurance testing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments
• Reassemble and prepare medical devices for use
• Conduct biological and chemical quality assurance tests




• Report any operational issues to supervisors
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control practices

Requirements:
• Accredited Medical Device Reprocessing program completion
• Healthcare Sterile Processing Association certification required
• Canadian Standards Association certification mandated
• Commitment to safety and quality assurance
• Adaptable to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
