Overview
The Maintenance Instrumentation Technician is akey member of an integrated maintenance team, working collaboratively withplant and field operations, supervisors, coordinators, engineers, andmaintenance staff. In this role, you will perform diagnostic, troubleshooting,repair, and maintenance activities on instrumentation and control equipment atboth plant and field facilities.
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, youwill help maximize operational reliability and cost efficiency whileidentifying opportunities to enhance asset performance and create value.
This position requires the successful candidateto reside in the Hanlan Robb area. The staffing center is in Edson, and companytransportation is provided.
The Role
Performdiagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of instrumentationand control systems.
Maintainaccurate and complete maintenance, inspection, and repair records.
Assesswork activities for safety risks and ensure compliance with all applicablesafety requirements.
Adhereto and promote safe work policies, industry standards, codes of practice,and operating procedures.
Contributeto improving equipment reliability, operational performance, and assetintegrity.
Supportmaintenance activities at facilities throughout the Hanlan Robb area,including third-party operated sites.
Participatein all aspects of the maintenance process to ensure the secure and efficientprocessing of natural gas.
Collaboratewith operations, engineering,
and maintenance teams to identify andresolve equipment issues.
Supportcontinuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, andoperational excellence.
The Person
JourneypersonInstrumentation Technician Certificate with Interprovincial Red Sealendorsement is required.
Extensiveexperience in an instrumentation maintenance role, preferably within sourgas processing facilities.
Provenexperience working with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), ProgrammableLogic Controllers (PLC), and SCADA systems.
Experiencewith Emerson DeltaV control systems is preferred.
Experiencewith process analyzers, including H₂S analyzers, gas chromatographs (GC), andmoisture analyzers (ADA), is considered an asset.
Stronganalytical and troubleshooting skills, with experience collecting,analyzing, and interpreting maintenance and operational data.
Proficientcomputer skills, including experience with computerized maintenancemanagement systems (CMMS).
Thoroughunderstanding of maintenance principles, methodologies, and bestpractices.
Abilityto work independently, prioritize competing demands, and make sounddecisions with minimal supervision.
Demonstratedability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team environment.
Stronginterpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Excellentorganizational and time-management skills.
Dualtrade certification in Instrumentation and Electrical is considered astrong asset.
