Position Type: Term to July 2027

Location: Fredericton (Offsite Training Facility)

Salary Range: $2,454.00 to $3,776.00 bi-weekly, based on experience and level of post-secondary education.

Qualifications
Education/Experience

Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Building Engineering Technology or a related field with relevant years of work experience.

Preference will be given to candidates registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), or Professional Technologist (P.Tech).

Equivalent combinations of education, industry experience, and professional credentials may also be considered.

Technical Skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required

Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D and MicroSurvey CAD

Experience with surveying equipment

Professional Skills

Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization.

Working Knowledge/High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical ability, and innovative thinking.

Self-motivated, service and results oriented.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team.

A desire for continuous learning and growth.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Option, when required: Candidates must possess a valid Driver's License as travel will be required.

Demonstrated experience with xx would be considered an asset.





Knowledge of xx are all considered assets.

Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in a post-secondary environment.

Assets

Experience coaching, mentoring, supervising, or training employees, apprentices, students, or junior staff is considered an asset.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Business Development Operations Manager, and as a member of the faculty team, the Instructor is responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas may include, but are not limited to:

Materials lab - soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt

Surveying Technology - total station, GIS, GNSS, RTS

Building codes and standards

Local building materials

3D modeling - Autodesk Civil 3D

Site infrastructure

Sanitary and storm systems

Water distribution systems

Water and wastewater systems

Environmental planning and sustainability

Highway engineering and design

Highway surveying

Soil mechanics

Geotechnical design
