Our client is an established name in customs brokerage, freight forwarding and international transportation, helping businesses manage the practical and regulatory demands of moving goods across borders.
Industry Experience
With several decades in the sector, the organization has developed deep knowledge of international trade, customs requirements and cross-border transportation. Its operations span several countries, giving employees exposure to different markets and a genuinely international business environment.
Technology and continuous improvement
The company continues to invest in the systems and processes behind its services. Employees work with up-to-date tools while being part of an organization that regularly looks for better ways to manage customer needs, compliance requirements and increasingly complex supply-chain activity.

Work that matters to customers

The Opportunity
This position sits at the front end of the sales process.
You will identify prospective customers, make the initial approach, determine whether there is a legitimate business opportunity and help move qualified prospects into the hands of the broader sales team.
A considerable part of the role involves outbound prospecting. That means researching companies, making calls, speaking with decision-makers and getting enough information to understand whether there is a reason to continue the conversation.
There is more to the job than making calls. You will also work with incoming leads, contribute to sales campaigns, gather information for proposals, maintain CRM records and coordinate with colleagues when a prospect requires input from different parts of the organization.
It is a good fit for someone who enjoys finding opportunities, opening doors and doing the follow‑up work required to turn an initial conversation into something commercially worthwhile.
Position Description
Researching prospective companies and identifying potential new customers.
Conducting outbound prospecting and cold calling to introduce the organization’s services.
Establishing contact with decision‑makers and securing qualified introductory meetings for outside sales colleagues.
Asking the right questions to understand a prospect’s requirements and determine whether there is a viable sales opportunity.
Qualifying incoming and self‑generated leads before advancing them through the sales process.
Using online research, social media, industry associations and other sources to uncover prospective business.
Maintaining accurate prospect, activity and follow‑up information in the company’s CRM system.
Supporting targeted business development and marketing campaigns.
Gathering the information required to prepare proposals and advance prospective accounts.
Participating in sales presentations when appropriate.
Coordinating with internal departments to obtain information needed by prospective customers.

The position is primarily focused on new‑business generation, prospecting and lead qualification, while also supporting the wider business development function.
Experience
Approximately one to three years of experience in sales prospecting, inside sales, lead generation, business development support or a comparable environment.
Previous experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, international transportation or a related field is preferred.
Experience working with a CRM system is an asset.
Qualifications
You should be comfortable initiating conversations with people you do not already know and capable of turning those conversations into useful business information.
Strong follow‑up matters just as much. Prospecting creates plenty of moving pieces, and this role requires someone who can keep track of contacts, commitments and next steps without being closely managed.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
A personable, confident approach with prospective customers.
The ability to establish rapport without sounding rehearsed or overly scripted.
Good organizational and prioritization skills.
Comfort using social media and other digital sources for prospecting.
Proficiency with common business software.
