The Recreation Therapy Aide provides essential support in delivering recreational programs. You will maintain accurate documentation, participate in quality improvement efforts, and manage recreation supplies. Working flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings, you’ll promote residents’ independence and social connections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain timely and accurate departmental records
• Participate in evaluating and improving recreation programs
• Ensure recreation supplies meet infection control standards
• Work various shifts,
including evenings and weekends
• Travel within the province for training and meetings as needed
Requirements:
• Certificate or degree in Recreation or related field
• Current enrollment in a relevant diploma or degree program
• Experience in recreation services considered an asset
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic care setting
• Willing to obtain a current Vulnerable Sector Check
Contribute to meaningful experiences for residents at AgeCare through recreation and leisure services.
