This float position is based primarily at the Sturgeon Community Hospital, requiring orientation to additional facilities, including Royal Alexandra Hospital and University of Alberta Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist I, your role will include developing and implementing care plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring high-quality, family-centered service. Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance outcomes for critically ill children while gaining experience in specialized areas such as ECLS and transport.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and monitor neonatal and pediatric patients




• Develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans
• Collaborate with clinical teams for optimal care
• Provide training on respiratory equipment
• Educate families on disease management and treatments

Requirements:
• Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta
• Graduate from a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy
• Current BCLS-HCP certification
• 2-3 years of critical care experience preferred
• Active membership in the CSRT
