This full time role involves coordinating key programs like Learn to Fish and Family Fishing Weekend. You'll develop and secure funding, maintain partnerships with stakeholders, and represent the Society at events. Your work will enhance recreational fishing participation, thereby boosting angling license revenue and supporting BC’s aquatic resources long-term.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate outreach programs like Learn to Fish
• Develop and secure external funding opportunities
• Build partnerships with community organizations
• Represent the Society at events and media
• Support Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation activities
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Biology, Fisheries, or Education
• Minimum three years in public relations or education
• Experience in media and public speaking required
• Valid Driver’s License essential
• Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work
