As a crucial part of the team reporting to the Vice-President of Finance and Administration, you will be responsible for applying privacy laws, evaluating institutional risks, and fostering robust information governance frameworks. Your role involves advising the University community and managing access to information requests, all while promoting a culture of privacy protection.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert guidance on privacy legislation to the University
• Develop and implement records management frameworks
• Respond to access requests and privacy complaints
• Conduct regular assessments of privacy impacts on projects
• Collaborate with IT for cybersecurity-related privacy issues
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree; advanced certifications are an asset
• At least six years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of FIPPA and PHIPA
• Excellent interpersonal and report-writing skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic setting
