IS2 is looking for a skilled Welder Apprentice for our Client in Langley in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00/hour What Youll Do Set up, adjust, operate, and shut down welding equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform Flux Core (FCAW), MIG, SAW and TIG welding .
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and job-specific instructions.
Complete CJP and other welds in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
Repair and rework faulty or non-conforming products using approved welding procedures.
Perform gouging, grinding and weld preparation as required.
Inspect your completed work to ensure welds meet company and customer quality standards.
Complete required production and quality documentation.
Operate forklifts, overhead/jib cranes, and other shop equipment safely where trained.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow job-specific work instructions, safety procedures, and applicable legislation.
Work closely with your team and supervisor to keep jobs moving safely and efficiently.
Take on other shop duties as required.
What You Bring B-Level Welder ticket or equivalent welding experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain required CWB welding certifications .
Experience in a job-shop or manufacturing environment .
Experience with CJP welding .
Strong understanding of weld quality, fit-up, preparation and finishing.
Comfortable reading drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
Experience with gouging and grinding.
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Able to work independently with moderate supervision while contributing to a team.
Valuable English communication skills.
Overhead crane, rigging, forklift and other safety training are an asset.
What the Job Requires This is an active, hands-on welding position.
You should be comfortable: Standing for extended periods.
Lifting and moving materials up to 35 lb .
Bending, lifting, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
Crawling, crouching, stooping, and reaching overhead.
Working with the physical dexterity required for welding, fabrication, and finishing.
Using close, peripheral, and depth vision to perform detailed welding and inspection work.
