Support community wellness as an Aquatic Instructor II with the District of Saanich. Your role will focus on leading safe Swim for Life programs while fostering a welcoming setting.
This position offers up to 30 casual roles within the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services department. You will plan and conduct aquatic classes, evaluate progress, and maintain a safe environment. Ideal candidates will prioritize customer service and participant safety for individuals of all ages and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and instruct aquatic classes according to standards
• Evaluate participant performance through progress cards
• Enforce safety rules and provide guidance to users
• Participate in maintaining pool cleanliness and safety
• Attend in-service training to enhance skills
Requirements:
• Completion of grade 10
• Age minimum of 15 years
• At least three months of related experience
• Valid Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Award
• Police Information Check needed
