In the role of Fire Chief, you'll report to the CAO and be responsible for leading all divisions within Whitby Fire & Emergency Services. Your focus will be on delivering excellent customer service while ensuring effective budget management and emergency preparedness. The position involves compliance with fire service regulations and a commitment to community safety and education.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct all fire service operations with strategic insight
• Maintain high standards for public education and emergency response
• Lead training initiatives for fire service staff




• Ensure adherence to relevant fire codes and regulations
• Interface with senior leadership to meet municipal goals

Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in Fire Service, Public Administration, or related
• 12 years of experience in fire service required
• 5 years of senior-level experience in fire services
• Required training credential from Ontario Fire College
• CEMC and ECFO designations preferred
