Job Title: Psychiatrist

Location: Brockville, Ontario

Employment/Contract Type: Full-time

Compensation: Competitive Fee-for-Service Model + Daily Stipend & HOCC

Key Responsibilities

Lead stabilization and treatment for adults (16+) with acute mental illness across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Participate in a sustainable one-in-six weekday/weekend on-call rotation.

Provide expert psychiatric consultation to the Emergency Department and Crisis Team.

Mentor medical learners and residents through an academic appointment with Queen's University.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychologists, nurses, and social workers to deliver recovery-oriented care.

Professional Profile (Competencies)
Licensure: Must hold an M.D. or equivalent and be eligible for a fully unrestricted license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).

Certification: Must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Psychiatry) or equivalent.

Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in interdisciplinary collaboration and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.

Communication: Proficiency in English is required to ensure safe and effective patient-centred care.
