Working under minimal supervision, you’ll handle repairs for on-road and off-road vehicles within the Facilities Management department. Your responsibilities include diagnosis, maintenance scheduling, and ensuring compliance with university standards. Engage directly with various departments to maintain a safe campus environment.
Key Responsibilities: • Perform routine maintenance on university-owned vehicles • Diagnose problems in engines, brakes, and suspensions • Organize vehicle maintenance and repair schedules • Keep precise Motor Pool service records • Assist in emergency repairs as needed
Requirements: • Must hold a Journeyman Certificate in Automotive Service • 3-5 years experience working as a mechanic • Familiarity with online vehicle diagnostic manuals • Ability to lift weights up to 25 kilograms • Strong problem-solving skills in mechanical issues
