Empower vulnerable clients as a casual Community Support Worker with Island Crisis Care Society in Nanaimo and Parksville, BC. Your support will help foster independence and enhance lives.
In this role, you will develop personalized care plans and assist with critical life skills, including meal preparation, personal care, and budgeting. Collaborating with other professionals, you will provide emotional support and help clients connect with community services. The position requires relevant education and experience in social services to deliver effective support to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in assessment and program planning with clients
• Assist clients with life skills and personal care
• Facilitate educational and social activities
• Maintain liaison with community agencies and services
• Prepare meals in compliance with dietary needs
Requirements:
• One year of recent experience in the related field
• Diploma in human/social service
• Non-Violent Crisis Prevention certification
• WHMIS 2015 certification
• Naloxone Administration certification
