In this energetic role, reporting to the Regional Accounts Manager, you will take charge of generating purchases across a defined geographical region. Your focus will be on creating strong partnerships with suppliers and ensuring profitable transactions while adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and secure new purchasing opportunities
• Negotiate contracts to retain and grow the supplier base
• Analyze pricing strategies and market trends
• Provide daily communication with suppliers
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
Requirements:
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a metal buyer
• 5+ years in outside sales management
• Familiarity with pricing and grading of metals
• Valid driver’s license required for travel
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in marketing or business
