Operator is a cloud-native Security Operations Center (SOC) incident management platform designed to automate, orchestrate, and optimize the detection, verification, and response to physical security events
The platform reduces time between incident detection and response by leveraging AI and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to quickly identify relevant information, inform users, and enable manual and automatic actions on real world devices like doors and cameras
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to join our System Test team supporting Operator, our cloud-native Security Operations Center (SOC) incident management platform
This role is focused on helping ensure our products maintain the high standards of quality our customers depend on for critical security operations
You will work alongside senior engineers to review system requirements, contribute to test plans, execute test suites, and provide clear visibility to stakeholders through detailed reporting
Requirements Analysis: Review specifications, functional requirements, and existing test documents to understand features and help identify potential quality risks
Test Design:
Contribute to test suites and write detailed test cases for system features in a distributed SOC setting under the guidance of senior team members
Execution & Reporting: Execute defined test cases on regular cadences, analyze results, and accurately report all detected issues/defects with clarity and precision
Comprehensive Testing: Assist in performing functional and non-functional testing, including system testing, integration testing, and end-to-end workflows involving hardware integrations (cameras, doors, access control systems)
Quality Advocacy: Support quality initiatives throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring the system delivers an intuitive, reliable, and qualified experience

Strong attention to detail with proven time management and organizational skillsWorking knowledge of test management and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar)Practical experience with defect logging, triage processes, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues0+ years of professional experience in manual, system, or integration testingExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) for collaboration and reportingBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical fieldHands-on experience with or a strong understanding of large-scale, distributed systems involving both hardware and software componentsExperience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and testing effectivenessFamiliarity with security, surveillance, or physical access control systemsUnderstanding of test automation methodologies and principles
