Box Consulting Group is partnering with a leading Canadian general contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering complex, high-value construction projects across the country.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead a major $100M+ institutional project in British Columbia.

The role is based in Victoria, though experienced Mainland candidates will also be considered.

This is a high-profile opportunity for a construction leader who has successfully delivered large-scale ICI projects and is comfortable taking ownership of site operations from mobilization through turnover.

Youll be joining a well-established contractor on one of the companys priority projects in BC.

The successful candidate will have significant autonomy, strong project support, and the opportunity to lead a complex project with an experienced construction team.

Apply today! Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day construction activities on a $100M+ ICI project.

Plan, organize, and direct site operations from mobilization through completion and turnover.

Develop and maintain short- and long-term construction schedules in coordination with the Project Manager and trade partners.

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project resources.

Establish site logistics and develop strategies to maximize productivity and minimize delays.

Monitor progress against the master schedule and hold trades accountable to project milestones.

Lead daily site huddles and regular subcontractor coordination meetings.

Oversee site safety, quality control, inspections, commissioning, and deficiencies.

Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and construction requirements.

Identify constructability concerns and develop practical solutions with the project team.

Track materials, equipment, manpower, and site resources.





Work closely with the Project Manager on forecasting, cost control, risk management, and project planning.

Maintain strong communication with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Support project turnover, closeout, warranty, and demobilization activities.

Lead, mentor, and develop junior superintendents and site personnel.

Champion a strong safety culture and ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable regulations and project requirements.

Requirements 10+ years of construction industry experience.

Proven experience personally leading ICI projects valued at $80M+.

Experience as a Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent, or equivalent site leadership role.

Strong background delivering complex institutional, commercial, healthcare, education, recreation, defence, or similarly large-scale projects.

Strong understanding of construction contracts, drawings, specifications, building codes, and construction practices.

Demonstrated expertise in construction scheduling, resource planning, and site logistics.

Solid leadership experience overseeing multiple trades, subcontractors, and site personnel.

Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Procore, and/or Primavera P6.

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to operate effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.

Construction Management education, Engineering degree/diploma,



or Red Seal designation is an asset.
