Overview of role:
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) to partner with business leaders in driving organizational effectiveness, talent strategies, employee engagement, and business performance. As a trusted advisor, the Sr. HRBP will provide proactive Human Resource guidance, support leadership development, lead complex people initiatives, and help shape a high-performing culture.

Key Deliverables Include

Translate business strategy into people strategies and initiatives in partnership with WestJet’sHuman Resources Centre’s of Excellence (CoEs)

Develop and execute talent strategies to address current and future talent gaps through business unit talent reviews, succession planning, and workforce planning

Lead organizational design initiatives for the business unit to ensure the organization is aligned to evolving business priorities and future needs

Translate people metrics and data into meaningful insights and trends, partnering with leaders and HR CoEs to identify opportunities, solutions, and actions

Coach and advise leaders on talent and engagement strategies, employee relations matters, and organizational change management

Experience And Qualifications

6+ years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role

Extensive experience across key areas of Human Resources, including change management, performance management, employee relations, organizational design,



and talent strategy

Demonstrated ability to operate as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, providing thoughtful ideas and solutions while building strong, collaborative relationships with senior leaders

Strong ability to understand, interpret, and translate business issues and requirements into effective people strategies and solutions

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain meaningful, positive business relationships with leaders and teams across multiple locations

Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization

Proven ability to navigate and resolve conflict, work effectively under pressure, and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment

Experience supporting large, operational teams in a complex organization

CPHR designation is considered a strong asset

Experience working in a federally regulated, unionized environment is considered an asset
