The National Research Council of Canada is searching for a Specification Writer to enhance the National Master Construction Specification. This role demands expertise in construction documentation and the ability to produce high-quality specifications that reflect current standards and practices. Ideal candidates will work closely with editors and technical advisors to ensure the publication's accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Edit and review specifications for technical accuracy
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for comprehensive documentation
• Maintain consistency with industry standards in specifications
• Support publication activities and document content management
• Assist in developing new documents for emerging best practices
Requirements:
• Diploma/degree in Building Science Technology or similar
• Extensive experience in construction specifications writing
• Knowledge of digital collaboration tools and content systems
• Experience with construction contract laws is beneficial
• Understanding of sustainable design practices encouraged
