Job Description
Support the Director – Enterprise Architecture by leading the architectural strategy, governance, and sustainment of a large utility companies Grid Technology (GT) platforms including grid control systems.
This role contributes to: (a) achievement of corporate performance targets (b) compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (c) fulfillment of customer and stakeholder expectations (d) safety and reliability of grid operations (e) efficiency and modernization of the Ontario electricity system.
The role includes tracking industry trends, collaborating with internal partners and external authorities (e.g., IESO, NERC, vendors), assessing system performance, and implementing architectural practices that ensure alignment with business strategy and enterprise standards.
General Accountabilities Assist the Director – Enterprise Architecture in work planning, resource planning, and setting strategic direction for grid technologies architecture.
Provide governance oversight in the performance of Grid Technology (GT) investments and their alignment with enterprise business value realization.
Represent the Enterprise Architecture team in collaboration with Lines of Business (LOBs) to address operational and service requirements.
Provide direction and input to strategic business planning processes related to grid modernization and control systems.

Skills and Requirements
15+ years of experience in technology leadership, enterprise architecture, GIS, OT, or related functions within large organizations (utilities, manufacturing, energy, transportation, industrial, or similar environments preferred).
Proven experience leading and managing teams of architects, technical leaders, and cross-functional technology teams.
Strong architecture leadership experience, including defining technology roadmaps, governance frameworks, and enterprise standards.
Experience overseeing large-scale technology transformation and modernization initiatives.
Budget ownership and vendor management experience, including managing strategic technology partners.
Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and business stakeholders.
Experience aligning technology strategy and emerging technologies with business objectives.
Knowledge of operational technologies and enterprise platforms, Asset Management Systems, and Work Management Systems.
Solid understanding of system integration between operational and enterprise platforms.
Experience with enterprise applications such as SAP and related field or work management solutions.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex technology programs from strategy through execution.
Deep expertise in GIS platforms, architecture, strategy, and implementation.
Knowledge of operational technologies and enterprise platforms, including experience working with systems such as SCADA, EMS, ADMS, DERMS,
