The Ontario Jewish Archives is looking for a dedicated archivist committed to enhancing the historical narrative of Ontario's Jewish community. In this full-time, permanent position, you will oversee the organization and accessibility of archival records, while also contributing to community programming efforts. Your work will ensure ongoing engagement with researchers and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
• Acquire and assess records from community donors
• Arrange and describe archival collections per recognized standards
• Digitize various media for digital access
• Provide comprehensive reference services to users
• Assist with outreach programs and social media initiatives
Requirements:
• Master of Information with archival focus
• At least 1 year of experience in archival settings
• Strong understanding of archival practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications and familiarity with archival software
