NEOFACS seeks a full-time Child Welfare Assessment Worker in Timmins. Focus on children’s services by providing assessments, protection plans, and documentation.
In this role as an Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing Worker, you will deliver vital services that include preventative measures and protection for children and families. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments and developing protection plans while completing required documentation. The role requires bilingualism and a willingness to work flexible hours to meet community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide preventative services to support families in crisis
• Carry out risk assessments to identify child protection needs
• Develop and implement child protection plans
• Maintain meticulous documentation for case outcomes
• Travel for case-related visits and work flexible schedule
Requirements:
• An MSW or BSW is preferred
• Relevant experience with youth and families beneficial
• Strong communication and organizational skills required
• Must be bilingual in English and French
• Valid G2 driver’s license, with goal to obtain G Class
