The Anchor Youth Space is hiring a dedicated Youth Support Worker for their Halifax location. In this role, you will utilize a trauma-informed and equity-focused approach to provide support, mentorship, and advocacy. Engage collaboratively with youth and caregivers to help them achieve their unique goals and access vital services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Embrace holistic youth well-being strategies
• Facilitate referrals to internal and external services
• Collaborate on care plans for individualized support
• Lead group programming for youth development
• Engage in community outreach initiatives
Requirements:
• Secondary education in social services required
• Minimum two years of relevant experience
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and CPR certification
• Robust skills in communication and relationship-building
• Commitment to trauma-informed care and inclusivity
