Join Beaver Hall Artists’ Co-op as a part-time co-op housing administrator in downtown Toronto. This permanent, onsite role focuses on property management and governance support for a vibrant artistic community.
This position is for a dedicated individual who will manage the 24-unit building, maintain financial oversight, and ensure compliance with housing regulations. With 21 hours per week, you will report directly to the board of directors, liaise with tenants, and support co-op members. Your expertise in property administration and governance will be crucial in maintaining a positive living setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage financial operations including budgeting and arrears management
• Ensure compliance with legal obligations and housing by-laws
• Maintain full occupancy and oversee tenant relations
• Hire and supervise maintenance staff and contractors
• Attend board meetings and take minutes
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years in housing or property administration
• Strong understanding of housing laws and co-operative governance
• Proficiency in NewViews, Microsoft Excel, and Word
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Must complete a background check
