Become a vital part of the Vancouver Society of Children’s Centre’s as a part-time Cook, crafting meals tailored for large groups of children in an enriching environment.
This position at VSOCC involves preparing meals using simple, pre-set menus for our food program while ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen. You will report to the Food Services Manager and directly impact the health and enjoyment of children’s meals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare meals for 35 to 60 children daily
• Sanitize kitchen equipment and supplies
• Use basic kitchen tools and equipment safely
• Maintain food inventory and manage orders
• Organize and clean kitchen workspaces
Requirements:
• Food Protected Certification 1
• High school diploma required
• Clear criminal record check needed
• Basic First Aid certification
• Proven experience cooking for large groups
