Join the Palliative Care Physician Group at Island Health in Port Alberni, BC, offering both part time and full-time opportunities. This role focuses on community home visits and hospice care, providing essential palliative support to patients.

As a palliative care physician, you will provide consults and follow-ups in the West Coast General Hospital and Ty Watson House. You'll also conduct outpatient and home visit consults throughout the Port Alberni area, with occasional outreach to the beautiful west coast. Participation in the rural on-call schedule and teaching medical learners are also key aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver palliative care consults at the hospital and hospice




• Conduct home visit consults for patients in the region
• Participate in rural on-call schedule for palliative care
• Supervise and teach medical learners as needed
• Engage in outreach activities to Tofino and Ucluelet

Requirements:
• Eligibility for faculty appointment with UBC
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
• Experience in palliative care preferred
