Position Details
Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: $18 per hour - negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts & every other Saturday

What Our Veterinary Assistants DoAssist Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians with patient care and treatment
Safely restrain pets during examinations and treatments using best practices
Keep kennel areas clean, comfortable, and welcoming for hospitalized pets
Prepare medications accurately
Update electronic patient records and document care provided
Assist with answering phones
Communicate with clients about their pets'' visits and care
What Our Veterinary Assistants Bring
At least two years of excellent customer service experience, both in person and over the phone, is strongly preferred
Experience with multi-line phone systems is a plus
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to adapt your communication style to different clients and situations
The ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests
Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new software quicklyA positive attitude and desire to be part of a fun, supportive team
