School District 71 is looking for an Education Assistant to support diverse learners in grades K-12. This temporary role focuses on fostering relationships and engagement through individualized support.
As an Education Assistant, you will work collaboratively with teachers to assist students in various educational settings and programs. Your responsibilities include helping with behavioral strategies and personal care within instructional plans while ensuring a nurturing and empowering environment for all learners. This role is essential for promoting positive impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Aid students in daily educational activities and routines
• Support behavior resource and learning support teachers
• Help implement individual education and behavior support plans
• Engage in off-site program and work experience assistance
• Maintain communication with team members regarding student progress
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 and Human Services Worker Program
• Experience supporting students with complex needs
• CPR-AED certification and training in behavior strategies
• Valid B.C. driver's license
• Solid interpersonal skills and adaptability
