Become a key player in Alberta's insurance sector with the AIC as a Paralegal & Board Coordinator in Calgary. This role combines legal support, governance coordination, and executive assistance to drive regulatory excellence.
The AIC, Alberta’s regulatory organization, is seeking an organized Paralegal & Board Coordinator to report to the General Counsel. In this office-based role, you will coordinate Board activities and manage key governance processes, ensuring compliance and the smooth operation of legal functions. Your role will involve direct executive support, documentation management, and interaction with high-level stakeholders for effective governance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide executive support to the CEO and Board Chair
• Coordinate Board and Committee meeting activities
• Maintain comprehensive governance records and documentation
• Draft, review, and manage legal correspondence and reports
• Assist with policy development and continuous improvement projects
Requirements:
• Legal Assistant or Paralegal diploma required
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience supporting Boards for 3+ years
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management tools
• Robust communication and relationship-building skills
