Become a key player in community health as an Adult Drop-In Program Worker (Relief) at LAMP Community Health Centre. This role supports vulnerable adults through meal service and crisis intervention in a casual setting.
You will assist in daily operations under the supervision of the Program Manager, ensuring a safe setting for participants facing challenges such as homelessness and social isolation. Your work will involve meal preparation, providing informal support, and promoting activities that engage and connect participants to resources and services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan meals in compliance with health regulations
• Oversee daily program space cleanliness
• Facilitate participant orientation and support
• Implement de-escalation strategies in crises
• Offer referrals to social services and resources
Requirements:
• Experience with crisis intervention techniques
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills
• Experience in community outreach and engagement
• Ability to adapt to diverse participant needs
