Full-Time In-Home Child Caregiver — Youth Applicants Encouraged
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate full time, live-out caregiver for our child, who will be approximately one year old. Youth applicants are strongly encouraged to apply, and qualified youth will be prioritized in the hiring process. Applicants must have at least one year of experience caring for infants or toddlers. One parent plans to return to full-time work in October 2026, while the other has a hospital-based surgical practice involving 24-hour emergency call and night and weekend work. The position therefore requires reliable, developmentally appropriate in-home care and reasonable scheduling flexibility.

Child Caregiver – Private Home
· Salary: $21.00 per hour, 35 hours per week ( may require up to 40 hours / week)

· Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time

· Schedule: Early mornings, mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and flexible hours; schedule to be determined

· Start date: As early as October 1, 2026

· Benefits: Health benefits and other benefits

· Private health insurance will be provided until the caregiver becomes eligible for OHIP, along with three paid sick days. Statutory holidays will be provided, or compensated at 1.5 times the regular rate, as applicable, together with 10 paid vacation days per year.

Additional benefits include free parking, meals during the workday, and either a gasoline subsidy or transportation coverage.

Responsibilities
Tasks

Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas

Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents

Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens

Bathe, dress and feed infants and children

Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

Organize, activities such as games and outings for children

Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Prepare infants and children for rest periods

Supervise and care for children

Tend to emotional well-being of children
