Join the Developmental Disabilities Association as a Vancouver Early Childhood Pedagogical Consultant. This full-time role focuses on developing and implementing effective programs for children's wide-ranging needs.
Working on-site, this position involves assessing children's development and planning learning strategies. The ideal candidate will foster creative expression and developmental growth, while collaborating with various professionals. A Bachelor’s degree and substantial experience with special needs children are prerequisites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare tailored learning plans based on assessments
• Implement programs supporting children's physical and cognitive development
• Lead activities that promote creativity and social skills
• Monitor children's progress and prepare comprehensive reports
• Establish relationships with community service providers
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant setting
• Expertise in working with special needs children
• Criminal and vulnerable sector checks needed
• Physical capability to engage with children
