Under minimal supervision, the Lead Quality Control Incoming Inspector performs material receipt inspection of company procured and customer issued materials, validating materials against applicable codes and requirements orders. The Lead Quality Control Incoming Inspector maintains records on inventory and performs monthly audits, demonstrating excellent organization and communication skills. This position will provide leadership and mentorship within the department.
Responsibilities Material Receiving, Warehouse Organization, Shipping, and Storage Management
30%
– Receive, inspect, document, and organize incoming materials and equipment within designated project laydown and storage areas. Prepare material receiving and status reports for Construction Managers, Project Managers, and customers.
20%
– Maintain accurate inventory records by item, stock number, lot number, quantity, location, and condition. Review contract delivery requests to confirm that required materials are available and properly stored.
30%
– Coordinate all material-handling and logistics activities, including the staging, packaging, shipping, receiving, transfer, and delivery of materials. Maintain applicable shipping and receiving documentation and coordinate activities with project teams, suppliers, carriers, and customers.
10%
– Perform monthly audits and surveillance of warehouse and material storage areas. Document material condition, shelf-life status, storage requirements, environmental controls, preservation measures, and overall warehouse organization.
5% – Company Equipment and Asset Management
Act as the primary point of contact for company equipment and assets, including forklifts, fleet vehicles, and tooling. Maintain applicable licences, logbooks, inspection records, maintenance requirements, and calibration documentation.
5% – Personnel Support and Workflow Coordination
Provide support to incoming Quality Control personnel and assist with workflow coordination and workforce planning to support operational objectives and customer contract requirements.

Knowledge and experience with CSA N299 and ISO 9001 standards is an asset
