This position, reporting to the Manager or designate, requires a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer who will perform essential diagnostic ultrasound examinations. You will operate collaboratively with radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare staff to provide high-quality patient care. Your role supports Northern Health’s mission and values within a recognized medical imaging setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and examinations
• Collaborate with medical teams to enhance patient outcomes
• Integrate best practices and current research in daily work
• Educate staff and students on ultrasound techniques
• Resolve conflicts and communicate effectively with patients
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• Current certification with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS
• Active membership in Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS
• Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking abilities
• Physical ability to perform required duties
