Join the maternity team at St. Paul’s Hospital, offering compassionate care to new families. As a Registered Nurse, you will assess, plan, and implement individualized care to support a positive birthing experience.
This position, temporary until January 2028, requires current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and two years of maternity experience. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care that is inclusive of all communities. Your role is pivotal in providing culturally-secure support and education to expecting families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and identify nursing care needs in patients
• Develop, implement, and revise nursing care plans
• Provide direct nursing interventions during critical situations
• Document and report patient status and progress accurately
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with the BC College of Nurses
• Experience in maternity and newborn care preferred
• CPR certification is essential
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication abilities
