Seeking an experienced C arpenter (min. 5 years) who thrives in a fast-paced custom residential environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding projects.

At Gavan Construction Company , they build thoughtfully designed custom homes and high-end residential renovations throughout the Sea to Sky corridor. Their projects are known for exceptional craftsmanship, meticulous execution, and a collaborative approach.

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:
Full time, year round.
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

The Perfect Candidate:
Red seal in carpentry preferred, but not essential.
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
Strong understanding of the BC building code standards.
A valid driver’s license.
Problem solving abilities.
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all-weather conditions.
Level 1 first aid an asset, but not essential.
Strong reading and math skills.

Responsibilities Include:
Design, build, install and repair structures using a variety of materials.
Perform layout measuring, marking and arrange materials for the project.
Cut and shape wood and other materials using hand and power tools.
Join materials with nails, screws, staples or adhesives.




Complete accuracy checks of your work (and the work of others) and make adjustments as necessary.
Work with prefabricated products as necessary.
Read, use and work with drawings as provided by the Project Manager.
Follow direction as provided by the site foreman and Project Manager.
Maintain your own tools in good working order.
Take on an apprentice when required, and complete his/her training as required by their schooling standards.
Follow all safety procedures.
