Reporting to the FacilitiesDesignEngineeringSupervisor, the successful applicant will join a team responsible for developingengineeredsolutions in support oftheProduction and R&D; departments. This position is focused on designingequipment,jigs and fixturesfor high voltage xray testequipmentand support other production projects as required.
The candidate will workcloselywithinternalcustomersandon the production floortodeterminerequirementsand design fixtures that meet the identifiedrequirements. Redlenis transitioning towardssemi/fully-automatedprocesses,and preference will be given towards individuals with related experience.

Key responsibilities include:
Design jigs and fixturesfor high voltage xraytest equipment that incorporates electricalcomponents and software control.
Designjigs andfixturesand equipment forproduction environment.
Support sourcing or the development ofequipment that minimizesoperator interaction, increases throughput, improves quality, and produces repeatable resultsfor use ina production environment.
Analyze existing processes for improvement opportunities to aid in the design of the next generation of jigs/fixtures/tooling/equipment.
Fully document designs e.g. generate3DCAD models, createfabdrawings and assembly drawings/instructions, BOMs, Schematics.
Create 3D printed parts anddesignCNC machined parts.
Registeringfabrication and assemblydrawingsusing Redlen’s documentationprocess.
Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 3 years in an industrial, manufacturing, or other complex operational environment.
Experience designing jigs/fixturesin aproduction/manufacturing environment.
Demonstratable experience employing minimal constraintsmethodology.
ProficiencywithSolidworksor similar 3D/2D CAD programs.
Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;).
Proficiencywith MS Office programs.
Experience Preferred:
Design for manufacturing in a high-volumemanufacturer.
Semiconductor device fabrication processes including lapping, polishing, grinding & dicing.
Working safely in a small workshop with multiple users (e.g. keeping workspaces tidy).
Basic electrical & control system design.
Motion control (linear,continuous, rotary, servo &stepper; motors).
Skills/Additional Requirements:
Solid attention to detail.
Strong quality ethic.
Good organization skills.
Good knowledge of industry codes and standards.
Ability to think contextually.
Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
Good timemanagement skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education/Training:
Bachelor’sdegreeor technicaldiplomain mechanical/mechatronicengineeringor equivalent.
