On behalf of our client employer, we are searching for a Maintenance Manager experienced in industrial plant maintenance and repair as well as leading a team!

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of previous experience in maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment as a Licensed Millwright or Maintenance Technician! Supervisory experience and leading a team is a MUST HAVE skill. Holding a Millwright license will be a definite ASSET! Union experience is a MUST HAVE skill!

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for equipment reliability, maintenance planning, facility upkeep, and developing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.

Skills and Qualifications

Engineering Degree, Engineering Technologist Diploma, or equivalent combination of education and maintenance leadership experience.

5-10+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.

Millwright License and experience would be a definite ASSET

Previous leadership experience within a unionized manufacturing environment REQUIRED.

Robust background in troubleshooting industrial equipment and production systems.





Understands older legacy equipment and can calmly work through breakdown situations and find solutions.

Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, PLCs, and industrial controls.

Experience managing maintenance budgets and external contractors.

Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills are a MUST for strong leadership and decision-making.

Ability to balance operational urgency with long-term reliability goals.

Experience in automotive or related manufacturing environment, preferred.

Is comfortable getting their hands dirty and spending time on the plant floor.

CMMS experience necessary.

Lean maintenance and reliability practices.

Capital project management experience.

Earn respect through knowledge, consistency, and fairness.

Build trust with both production and maintenance teams.
