Join Raise as a Lead Engineer for Protection & Controls in Calgary and help enhance Alberta's electricity system reliability. This hybrid position emphasizes technical leadership and strategic collaboration.

In this key role, you will apply your 12+ years of engineering experience in protection and controls to lead complex technical initiatives. Your collaboration with industry partners will ensure robust solutions for transmission and generation projects while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead technical evaluations of large-load interconnection projects
• Conduct detailed protection studies to identify reliability issues
• Develop protection system standards and engineering requirements
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical oversight




• Engage with stakeholders on strategic engineering initiatives

Requirements:
• 12 years of experience in electric utilities with a P&C; focus
• Familiarity with Alberta Reliability Standards and compliance
• Strong skills in technical leadership, communication, and problem-solving
• Expertise in digital substations and HVDC technologies
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and P.Eng. eligibility
