This role is part-time and contract-based, focusing on delivering practical instruction in Body Mechanics and Personal Care. You will engage students preparing for essential healthcare roles, emphasizing safe techniques for lifting and ensuring comfort during patient interactions. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct engaging Body Mechanics workshops for students
• Teach safe lifting, transferring, and positioning techniques
• Customize workshop content to align with student requirements
• Provide hands-on training to enhance student confidence
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere
Requirements:
• Member in positive standing with BCCNM or BC Care Aide Registry
• At least five years experience as an HCA, LPN, or RN
• Teaching experience is preferable
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Expertise in body mechanics principles and techniques
