Amnesty International Canada is looking for a motivated part-time Campaigns Assistant for its Activism & Movement Engagement team in Ottawa or Toronto. This hybrid role focuses on coordination and community outreach.
As a Campaigns Assistant, you will provide administrative support for initiatives such as the Write for Rights campaign while engaging with activists and volunteers. This entry-level role is ideal for those eager to deepen their understanding of human rights and community mobilization. You'll collaborate with diverse stakeholders to facilitate impactful activism.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate Write for Rights campaign activities
• Maintain communication with campaign participants
• Draft campaign communications and social media content
• Support community engagement through events
• Organize files and resources for campaigns
Requirements:
• Passion for social justice and community organizing
• Previous experience in related roles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational abilities and initiative
