Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Surveyor to support our construction projects by providing precise site measurements, layout, and verification. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of surveying techniques, GPS equipment, and construction site coordination.

Proficiency with Trimble Earthworks and Trimble equipment is required. The successful candidate must be able to set up construction sites, create files for machine-control GPS systems, and troubleshoot GPS equipment as needed.

The candidate must be capable of working independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Experience with drone surveying and operations is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

- Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using GPS
- Interpret and verify site plans, blueprints, and construction drawings
- Establish control points and stakeout for excavation, grading, and utility installations
- Use Trimble Business Center to set up project sites and create files for machine control GPS




- Troubleshoot and maintain GPS equipment on construction machinery
- Collaborate with project managers and field crews to ensure accuracy and alignment with design plans
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment regularly
- Prepare and maintain accurate field notes and reports
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations on job sites

Qualifications

- Experience in surveying for construction, earthwork, or utility projects
- Proficiency with Trimble Business Center for data processing, site setup, and file creation for machine control GPS
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with GPS equipment on machines
- Proficiency with GPS, total station, and other surveying instruments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
