Duties

- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Unix-based platforms to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Manage cloud infrastructure environments such as AWS and Azure, including provisioning resources, monitoring usage, and implementing best practices for cloud security.
- Oversee virtualization platforms like VMware and ESXi to support server consolidation and resource allocation.
- Administer databases including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL solutions to ensure data integrity, availability, and performance.
- Configure and troubleshoot network services such as DNS, VPNs, and computer networking components to maintain connectivity across all systems.
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, Shell Scripting, JavaScript, or T-SQL to streamline routine tasks and improve efficiency.
- Implement container orchestration tools like Kubernetes for deploying scalable applications.
- Maintain security protocols by managing firewalls, access controls, REST APIs integration, and monitoring system logs for suspicious activity.
- Collaborate with development teams on DevOps practices using tools like Git and Jenkins for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Conduct regular system backups,



disaster recovery planning, and perform upgrades or patches as needed to ensure system stability.

Skills

- Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure; strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
- Deep knowledge of operating systems—Windows Server editions and various Linux distributions—along with their administration.
- Strong database management skills across SQL Server (T-SQL), MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle (PL/SQL), NoSQL databases; ability to optimize queries for performance.
- Expertise in computer networking concepts including DNS configuration, VPN setup, TCP/IP protocols, and network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Bash (Unix shell), Python, JavaScript; capable of automating complex workflows.
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Kubernetes for deploying microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs integration for system interoperability; understanding of DevOps tools like Git version control and Jenkins automation servers.
- Ability to monitor system health through logs and metrics; implement security measures against cyber threats effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system maintenance; excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
