Halton Children’s Aid Society is hiring a Full Time Child and Youth Permanency Worker. In this role, you'll support integration for youth in care until age 23 across various service streams, ensuring adherence to best practices and legislative requirements. This position is ideal for individuals aiming to broaden their experience in child welfare, while contributing to the stability and well-being of children and youth in care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and review permanency plans for children and youth
• Build relationships ensuring the voices of youth are heard
• Collaborate with caregivers and service providers for optimal care
• Facilitate transition planning and service coordination
• Prepare documentation for court proceedings regarding permanency
Requirements:
• MSW or BSW (preferred) with three years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of child welfare legislation and best practices
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
• Satisfactory Police Records Check
• Solid communication and problem-solving skills
