Join PCL in Edmonton as an Estimating Student for an enriching 8-month placement. This role gives you hands-on experience in the construction industry.
In this position starting January 2027, you will support our Civil and Mechanical divisions as an Estimating Student, working under the mentorship of an experienced estimator. You will perform critical tasks that include quantity surveying and managing bid documents, ensuring you gain valuable insights into the estimating process. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform quantity surveys under supervision
• Assist in the control of bid documents
• Attend job sites for hands-on learning
• Collaborate with lead estimator for project success
• Provide key pricing data to purchasing team
Requirements:
• Currently pursuing an engineering degree or diploma
• Demonstrated interest in construction environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite; AutoCAD knowledge preferred
• Self-motivated with eagerness to learn
• Field experience is an added advantage
