As a Senior Assistant, you'll collaborate with the Housing Maintenance staff to ensure that residential units receive top-notch maintenance and support. Your expertise will help oversee quality control for housing services within the community. This full-time role offers a dynamic work environment and fosters personal growth while promoting local traditions and values.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct pre-trip and post-use inspections on vehicles and equipment
• Perform maintenance and service checks on machinery and tools
• Evaluate tenant maintenance requests and report issues to supervisors
• Train junior staff and interns on safe equipment operation
• Maintain inventory and request supplies as needed
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a relevant field
• Knowledge of First Nation Housing Programs
• Red Seal Certification preferred
• Strong communication skills for diverse interactions
• Valid driver’s license and transparent background checks
