Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer specializing in Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and Wireless Coverage Solutions. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining in-building wireless coverage infrastructure. You will support field technicians, enterprise customers, and carrier partners to resolve complex RF (Radio Frequency) and hardware issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Tier 2/3 Technical Support: Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and diagnostic support for active (eCPRI and CPRI), passive, and hybrid DAS platforms, and repeater systems.
- RF Optimization & Troubleshooting: Analyze RF data, sweep test results (VSWR, Return Loss), and PIM (Passive Intermodulation) profiles to isolate and resolve signal degradation or coverage gaps.
- Hardware & Software Diagnostics: Troubleshoot headend equipment (BIUs, POIs), master units, remote units, and fiber optic transport systems. Assist with remote firmware upgrades and configuration changes.
- Commissioning Support: Guide field engineers and integration partners through the remote commissioning, testing, and acceptance processes for new DAS deployments.
- International Coordination: Join scheduled conference calls and technical bridge lines with global vendors, engineering teams, and carrier partners outside of standard local business hours.
- Documentation & Knowledge Base: Document all support cases, system configurations, and resolution steps in the ticketing system. Create technical support notes and troubleshooting guides for internal use.

Qualifications

- Domain Expertise:

3+ years of hands-on experience in technical support, commissioning, or field engineering specifically focused on In-Building Wireless, Cellular Coverage, and DAS infrastructure.
- OEM Certifications: Prior certification or deep working knowledge of major DAS vendor equipment (e.g., CommScope ERA/ION-M, Corning ONE, JMA Wireless, Solid, Advanced RF) is highly preferred.
- RF Knowledge: Solid understanding of RF fundamentals, link budgets, fiber optics, and cellular technologies (4G LTE, 5G NR, CBRS).
- Diagnostic Tools: Familiarity with RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, cable/antenna analyzers (Anritsu, Viavi), and PIM testers.
- Schedule & Location: Ability to work full time on-site at our office, with the flexibility to occasionally adjust hours for early or late international project alignments.
- Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong analytical skills with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
